The Performance Grand Prix, run by a total of 34 dogs, offered fast and flashy runs, many with incredible weaves. A wide variety of breeds were represented, which made this diverse event even more fun to watch for many spectators. There were 16 non-Border Collies, and many of those were not herding breeds. An Affenpinscher, a Boxer, and a Border Terrier were among the non-herding dogs to tackle the PGP course, and they did a good job of it. In the evening, the bright lights shone on the Junior Handler Spotlight which honored excellence in Junior Handling at the Games , Performance Speed Jumping Finals, and Steeplechase Finals, with the temperature dropping enough that some volunteers were shivering while working.
