It's possible for a child to see inconvenient pictures and expressions. I've tested the browser ver. Bad result! Not appropriate for young children. My son's school uses this browser and we are not happy. He has access to Cartoon Network, he is only 2. He does not really understand how to use the computer, but the older kids in his class around 6 years old do and they are watching TV shows that a 2.
We are currently trying to get the school to remove this browser, or if the company that makes the browser can release a safe version that would be fine. The design is colorful and playful without being too loud. We immediately became addicted to the drawing and painting tools, and the math flashcards. The browser worked really well and we loved the setup of its interface.
Each site is presented as a thumbnail for easy viewing and access. We especially liked the time-lock feature that allowed us to manually set a time limit for browser use. The browser also has a lock mode that prevents anyone from exiting, minimizing, or accessing the admin settings without a password. As much as we loved this browser, we would have liked to have a Help file included. We also wish we had the ability to add our own Web sites to the list of preset sites.
